St Georges Town Hall wedding photos

It was great to photograph these weddings in St Georges town hall, as I remember the place as a teenager when I stepped into the ring in an amateur boxing bout. In those days the building was run down and dreary. Today, the beautiful architecture really stands out.

Tower Hamlets registry office wedding photos

St Georges town hall is a big step up from the old registry office of Bromley Town Hall in Bow. This wedding venue is far more spectacular in the grand architecture and the sweeping staircase. The beautiful chandelier hangs from an ornate ceiling. A very elegant design.

Photos of the Tower Suite wedding

In photography terms the two wedding suites are dramatically different, as can be seen in these pictures. St Georges has two rooms for weddings. The Tower Suite takes up to 120 guests.

Photos of the Hamlet suite wedding

The Hamlet suite is suitable for small weddings and takes up to 20 guests. The room is fairly plain but a perfectly pleasant place.

Wedding photos on the grand staircase

For both the romantic couple photos and the formal family photos, the grand staircase is a beautiful backdrop for photos.

Family photos at St Georges Town Hall

There is a large garden at the rear with historic architecture of the St Georges town hall providing the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos.

However, this wedding turned into a mass confetti leaves moment.

The Cable street mural photos

For those with an interest in politics or history, the mural on the side of the building is a very colourful and important depiction of the defeat of the Nazis in Cable Street in the 1930s.

St George in the East wedding photos

The neighbouring churchyard makes a great backdrop for wedding photography, because the Hawksmoor designed church is so beautiful.

St Katherine’s Dock wedding pictures

Local to St Georges is another great location, which is immediately beside Tower Bridge. St Katherine’s Dock is a beautiful historic place and has many backgrounds for bride and groom shots.

Tower Bridge wedding photos

Another local backdrop is Tower Bridge which is particularly popular when the bride and groom want to show London as a backdrop to their wedding photos, as it is such an iconic bridge. Shadwell DLR is very nearby and it’s just one stop to Tower Gateway. Otherwise the walk is about 15-20 minutes, which may not be a good idea if the bride has an elaborate wedding dress or high heels.

Big Ben wedding photos

Or take a river boat up to Westminster for some great pictures before Big Ben, hopefully with the scaffolding down soon.
